AquagaugeTM
liquid level sensors operate by measuring the capacitance of an
anti-fouling polymer coated
cable immersed in an aqueous liquid. Each sensor
contains a microprocessor, preprogrammed with calibration values
matched to the dielectric signatures of the above-liquid and
under-liquid sections of the cable. The microprocessor analyses the signal and
computes level every few seconds. The level, and temperature
within the transmitter case, are sent either wirelessly by RF
transmission or serially via wires to the data display. Rainwater,
seawater, alcohol solutions etc. produce virtually equivalent results and water containing
suspended sediments, organic matter and most other commonly encountered
contaminants
can usually be monitored without problems. A corrosion resistant
version of the system is available for use in aggressive liquids and the sensing elements are
all manufactured from low maintenance freeze-tolerant materials.**New** Differential pressure water level sensor option now available for all Aquagauge products. Suitable for depths up to 30 meters. |

The SG-ELECTRODE lead-acid battery electrolyte specific gravity (SG) sensor is based on our unique polymer-membrane electrode, designed to measure water concentration in sulfuric acid/water mixtures. The electrode is placed through the watering port of an individual battery cell so that the tip of the probe is immersed in the battery electrolyte. Equilibration (to 90%) between the electrode sensing elements and the acid solution usually occurs in about 5 minutes and readings of the composition can then be made at regular intervals ranging from seconds to hours. m2m-manager is a versatile CDMA or GSM mobile phone SMS exchange system enabling a wide range of sensors to be monitored, relays to be operated and alarms to be received. As an example, by combining the unit with our AQUAGAUGE liquid level measuring probe, it is possible to remotely determine water level in a variety of situations including rainwater tanks, reservoirs, rivers, oceans etc. Pumps can be activated and low or high level warnings received, all from thousands of kilometers away.
