Installed at the top of your water tank, the transmitter unit measures the water level and temperature using an ultrasonic sensor. Tank level (represented by a 10 element bar graph) can be transmitted up to 100m. You can store min/max records and set alarms for specific water levels (high/low) or when empty.
Aquagauge Ultrasonic Tank Level Sensor
The distance to the liquid surface is based on the speed of sound in air. This distance, D, is subtracted from the height of the tank, H, to give the depth, L, of liquid The transmitter unit relays the level, either by SMS or UHF, to a phone or LCD display
The sensor consists of a pair of absolute pressure transducers, one immersed in water and the other exposed to the atmosphere above the surface of the water. The differential pressure enables water level to be computed. with an output of 0-5V DC proportional to depth, or as a serial digital data output in ASCII form
1.5km (absolute max) clear line of sight
Simultaneously monitor up to eight 10 meter deep tanks, bores, streams etc with 5mm resolution and +/-2cm accuracy, The transmitter unit will send data every 5-6 seconds after powering up. Pressure sensor readings are automatically compensated for changes in atmospheric pressure and data is converted to water depth (cm). Easily capture and graphically display data from the receiver directly using a serial cable linked to a PC running Aquachart software. Typical 1km (approx) line of sight range under ideal conditions. Powered by 4AA batteries lasting 6 months.

Aquagauge Ultrasonic Non-Contact Tank Sensor
Liquid depth is measured using a pressure sensor at the top of a column of air extending to the bottom of the storage tank. This air line is periodically purged and refilled by an air pump. The pressure sensor and electronics are always isolated from the liquid. Backpressure is corrected for changes in atmospheric pressure. and converted to a depth reading using known liquid density.
