CB-Monitor
High speed long range system consisting of a central
PC-controlled base station with up to to 4
outstations, each with 3 analog inputs, 2 digital inputs and 1 digital
output. Provision is made for scaling and calibration of analog sensors.
Outstations can be automatically polled at user defined intervals from every 5
minutes to 12 hrs. Data can be saved to a text file for later
retrieval. High or low alarm values can be set and adjusted to
enable a warning signal to be sent over a CB radio channel.
-
Graphical visualisation of
all data is available and can be rescaled and replotted in real time.
-
Communication between base station and outstations is by
spread spectrum frequency hopping signals at 900MHz using 1 W radio
modems.
-
Data can be transmitted at 9600bps (long range) or 115,200
bps (reduced range).
-
Transmission of digital images in near real time is
possible.
-
Indoor or urban range with a standard 3dB antenna is around
1km and outdoor range (line of sight) with same antenna is about 20
km.
-
Using high gain directional antennas the range can
in
theory
be
extended up to 60 km.
-
The central base station is equipped with a mains powered
1.5W CB radio which transmits a warning signal when an alarm condition has
been reached.
-
All outstations can be powered by 6 Volt solar panels with
sealed lead-acid battery backup.
